Barry (owner) was wonderful to work with on our fireplace renovation. We replaced a wood burning fireplace with a gas insert. We shopped around and he was the most informative, the least 'salesy' and had reasonable prices. Things happened the way he said it would and his installation people were just as timely and pleasant as he is. I would easily recommend Woodstove & Fireplace Shop.

Patrick, the service manager, was incredibly helpful and pleasant. He was quick to answer any questions we had and performed his services in a very efficient manner. Our stove is our main source of heat and so without this we were very uncomfortable. Patrick expressed his deepest sympathies and quickly prioritized us without any hesitation. Excellent service department!

Amazing experience working with Pat, he knew his stuff and was extremely informative when I called to ask questions on the phone. We went into the store as we were wanting to convert our wood fireplace over to gas. In the store we worked with Paul who was not as knowledgeable about the products. He told my husband that for the unit to fit the fire box opening needed to be firred in. When the installers came they were very cranky because we have a slate roof and they didn't know how to get to the chimney. Then they saw noticed that my husband had used 2X4s to close in the opening and it has to non combustible material. We had sent Paul a picture of the entire fire box 3 days prior to install with the 2X4s and he never mentioned anything. The firebox was fixed and installation rescheduled. Then we noticed our bill was higher than the contracted amount and our credit card had been charged without consulting us. I called Paul to ask about the $150 overcharge and he said it was from an extra installment charge. And that he wasn't responsible to provide any information.

What a pleasant surprise this company is! I called last week and spoke to McPat, the service tech. My gas fireplace was either not turning on at all or shutting off/on during short periods of time. McPat came out today on his day off . He called when he said he would and showed up the exact time he stated. That is almost unheard of nowadays. He was polite, explained the problem, replaced a part, cleaned up the area and left with a smile. Top shelf service. Don't forget to tip these guys when they go beyond :)

Great buying process. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. This was my first time as a customer and they have a quality team of sales, staff and installers.
